Campaign by International Gaudiya Vedanta Trust (IGVT)
Krishna Janmashtami
Janmashtami, also known as Gokulashtami, is a vibrant Hindu festival celebrated to mark the divine birth of Lord Krishna, the eighth Avatar of Sree Maha Vishnu. It falls on the Ashtami Tithi (eighth day) of Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) in the month of Sravana (August–September). Reciting sacred texts like ‘Bhagavata Purana’, chanting the names of Krishna, participating in community Bhajans and Pujas, enacting Krishna Leelas, and observing fasts are common practices among the majority of Hindus, especially the devotees of Krishna, on this auspicious day.
This Janmashtami, Veda Sankalpa has joined hands with the International Gaudiya Vedanta Trust (IGVT) to offer a variety of Sevas to the Lord at the Radha Raman Jiu Mandir, Janakpuri, New Delhi, all for the welfare of the people. This is your chance to express your devotion to Lord Krishna and receive his boundless blessings.
